The MiniT5 is best for internal fitting, in more shallow enclosures where the light is located closer to the animal, at a distance of around 20 – 30cm. However, for those who keep these species in smaller or more shallow enclosures where the optimal distance for the ShadeDweller 7% UV-B is not achievable or keep crepuscular Arboreal species and choose to decorate the top of the enclosure, the ShadeDweller-Arboreal 2. The ShadeDweller Arboreal has been designed to be safe and effective to use inside arboreal vivarium’s, or over standard meshed topped vivarium’s, giving the ideal UVI and also allowing inhabitants to benefit in full from activated colour vision and the naturally effective D3 cycle. This is ideal for Leopard geckos, Crested geckos and many snake species, such as Corn snakes, King snakes, Milk snakes and Rat snakes, especially those kept in the "light and shade" method. The Arcadia ShadeDweller 7% ProT5 kits are stand alone units and ready to plug and play, though they can be linked together to create a larger unit for more spacious areas, up to 10 units can be put together. This will allow you as the keeper to provide targeted areas of light and shade in which your animal can self-regulate within standard sized enclosures. This means that ProT5 projects high levels of UV rich light directly beneath the unit at around 12″/30cm to create a basking zone but then also provides a wide flood as light spreads out over distance.
