Our ready made cakes are available in 10 different flavors, including classic options like vanilla sponge cake and chocolate sponge cake, and other choices like red velvet cake, carrot cake, vegan cake, toffee cake and lemon cake. In addition to ready made sponge cakes, we also offer ready made cupcakes, vegan cupcakes, fruit cakes, and cake mixes, ensuring you have everything you need to create professional-looking cakes with ease. In addition to round and square ready made cakes, we also offer large sheet cakes that provide the flexibility of cutting them into multiple cakes. This option not only allows you to save money but also ensures that you get the precise cake size you need for your event or gathering. The scaler doesn't need to know what ingredients you are using - ie , if it is butter, flour, eggs etc. I'm afraid not! We are so busy baking our cake bases and making our icings that we no longer have time to produce decorated cakes as well. Our sponge cakes freeze and defrost very well - some customers even prefer working on them semi-frozen, finding it easier to get a perfect finish to the icing on a very firm base. We don't recommend freezing our fruit cakes, and there should be no need as they keep very well for 18 months from baking. It is not a good idea to freeze our sugarpastes or flowerpaste - in our experience, it does not extend the life, and you risk problems with condensation on the icing as it defrosts.

Our toffee cake and red velvet cake are both dairy free - ie do not contain dairy as an ingredient, but MAY still contain traces of milk as we do use milk powder on the premises. It only needs to know the WEIGHT of each ingredient. So simply go down your ingredient list and enter a weight for each one - you just need to remember which is ingredient 1, which is ingredient 2 and so on. The 'result' may end in a tiny fraction of a gram, as the scaler is VERY accurate! You canjust round it to the nearest sensible number, depending on the unit you are using. EG rounding to the nearest whole number is fine if you are using grams. If you are using kilograms, pounds or ounces you will still need to paysome attention to the numbers after the decimal place! We are very easy to find, close to the Nottingham ring road andthe M1, and have a free customer car park right outside the shop. Our ready made sponge cakes have 5 weeks shelf life from baking and an amazing 10 flavours to choose from including vegan options. We usually deliver within just 1-2 working days so if you need a last minute cake in a hurry - no problem!We regularly use ground hazelnuts (in fruit cake) and chopped walnuts (in carrot cake only), and occasionally have other nuts on the premises (pecans, almonds etc), particularly at Christmas.We are not aware of any form of peanut appearing in any of our ingredients. However, many of the ingredients we buy contain the non-specific warning ' may contain nuts' which we must therefore pass on to our customers. We do not currently offer any gluten free cakes. Unfortunately, new tighter rules on permissable trace levels of guten in products marketed as 'gluten free' make it almost impossible for small bakeries such as ours to produce genuinely gluten free cakes.
